Dinner at Home

My parents came to visit over Christmastime, so we had a small dinner party. One of our friends from Russia made this amazing mushroom soup.

My mother and I made Glühwein.

Our X-mas corner complete with Weihnachtspyramide and decorated Palm tree.

Also part of the X-mas corner.

The mushroom soup sounds and looks very intriguing. Appears to be a wide variety of 'shrooms used. Your table looks delightful, and a Christmas catcus ... how fun. Now, I'm curious about the bottle shaped object with tinsel and a few ornaments ... was ist das?

Ooo, that soup and Gluwein looks good. Did the palm tree serve as your Christmas tree? Great idea!

I like all of these pictures of our Christmas home, but I esp. like the last one. Nice framing and lighting on that.

Natasha's soup was FABULOUS! The Gluhwein was yummy. The best part, though, was the company.

Chuck: The dinner was good and yes, lots of different mushrooms! The bottle shaped thing is a light that came with the apartment. We just decorated it! :-)

Cheryl: Yes, the palm was the X-mas tree. Why go cut down and pay for a tree when you already have one handy?

Janet: Yes, the company was great!
