Sunset Crater

We spent a few days in Flagstaff with my parents. Janet had never been in the area, so I showed her some of the tourist attractions. We started with Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

He really wanted to go off the path!

A view of the San Francisco Peaks from Sunset Crater.

My husband lived in Flagstaff for 9 months before we married and loves the area. We go there every so often and have done a bit of the crater walk. Your photos of it are really great.

That little kid cracked me up! Of course, I wanted to get off the path, too, so I know how he felt. Great pictures of this fabulous geologic wonder. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for taking me there.

Interesting landscape, unusual, but very scenic. I like the kid contemplating the the aspects breaking the confines of rules.

Tash: It's a beautiful area! Thanks!

Janet: I had to include the kid. He cracked me up too (as did the parents constantly having to tell him "no")!

Sherry: Thanks! This was all from one big road trip. Stay tuned for more AZ, CA, OR and WA!

Dusty: The landscape here is like no other!
