Absolutely great! What an unusual find. I like the building by itself but a violin shop - it would be interesting to get to know the violin-maker. I tracked it down on the web - Bischofberger Violins, Ltd. (bviolins.com). I have an old violin (not in use) that could use restoration, & since I travel to Seattle off & on for business, I think I'll bring it along. Thanks for a super post.
Wow. What a fun find. I grew up down the street from an old world master craftsman who repaired violins. He and his wife had their business in their home and he sat in the large picture window at the front of his house plying his craft. I loved walking past that house. It was like a scene out of Pinocchio!
How intriguing to place the man entering the door at the far bottom left of your photo. I don't know why, but I find this to be a very pleasing image. Could it be the perspective the size of the man gives to this enormous vertical structure?
Also, since his figure is in motion, it helps me to visualize him climbing the stairs to the top floor.
I'm not a photographer, obviously, so I apologize if some of what I'm saying may seem a little naive. I am just trying to pin down why I like this photo so much.
